Mikey Snot Is Great
Ceasefire With Grand Theft Radio

Saturday July 2, 2005, Buzz Fugazi

On-air tension between Producer Doc Cannon and myself was a running joke on Grand Theft Radio. Sometimes it was a funny joke. But a lot of the tension was real. The break-up which pre-empted the full completion of show #32 took place on Milwaukee Avenue just up the street from the Congress Theatre where the live show was recorded. It was professional and it was personal.

While I fully intended never to speak with Doc again, I've had a few conversations with him since then and we managed to resolve a few of our differences.

As a result, the long promised Best and Worst of Grand Theft Radio: The Buzz Fugazi Show re-mix will soon be on the air at Grand Theft Radio with MSIG Army promos. It is our agreed upon goal to arrange for a CD release that will raise money for NORML.

Mikey Snot is already helping me with the production and he is mixing a few bits of the old Buzz Fugazi Show into the show I do with him. Some of it is truly awful, but there are a few spontaneous moments that light a spark. Wow: writing the word "spark" just as Nando's random music shuffle pulled up "Blue Spark" by X. I'm having fun in St.Louis with Dr. Kare and Nando (thanks for letting me file my blogs on your computer!). I got a ride out here from Code West bassist Matt Sobczyk, who considerately brought along some X cds and a hilarious mix by Nando that had Television, New York Dolls, Buzzcocks, John Prine and Lady Day. Very mix for a very holiday weekend.

Safe drively.
