Arizona Conservatives Have A New Method To Reduce Government: Expanded Police Powers (It's Only For Mexicans, SO DON'T PANIC)
OMG OMG Barack Obama is a professional politician. Who better to express outrage and disgust about professional politicians than Karl Rove. Hence, Rove was called upon for another partisan Obama hunt disguised as news.
The usual suspects were in top form expressing their outrage, and for good reason. Apparently, the President had taken the mother of all bank rolls and set it on fire in the desert. The blood of US soldiers was then spilled by the gallon so we could accomplish the sacred task of giving Iran control of Iraq and building the recruiting efforts of terrorist networks. How could you not be outraged by that? Did anyone honestly ask the citizens of the United States if they thought an Iranian Theocracy in Iraq was something even one US Marine should die for? It probably wouldn't sell too good, but then again, this is the great legacy of the Bush Administration. President Obama is taking heat for not making it go away fast enough, but not from FOX.
This tangent distracts from Mexican drug dealers having gun fights in Arizona. Except, do we really need to expand police powers to apprehend and prosecute illegal aliens having drug-related shoot outs in the US? Last I checked, that sort of thing was illegal for everybody.
Friends of smaller government should note that the only major league political effort to curb the prison-industrial complex comes from the Obama Administration. Turns out, drug addiction is a disease that needs to be treated like an illness, and is a poor excuse for transforming our democracy into a landscape of prison warehouses for the poor, unless, of course, you are a huge fan of Ebenezer Scrooge before he got the Christmas Spirit. FYI, Scrooge is the template for Republican legislators, who profess Christianity while fighting against a livable wage for the bottom strata of working Americans. The wingnuts also want to cut those horrible government subsidies to the unemployed. After all, that's good money that could go to homicidal militias in the middle east that may or may not be on our side. Apparently, oil profits funneling off to the terrorists, isn't enough cash for the mayhem needed to make insane Republican policies seem reasonable to the poorly informed saps who rely upon the slick propaganda offered up at FOX.
